Welcome to Guitar Retreats, the ultimate Guitar Getaway!

Our events are aimed at hobby guitar players who want to learn new skills and increase their confidence within a group of other like-minded players. We provide a relaxed, supportive environment for you to focus on your guitar playing along with expert tuition.

Our retreats are tailored to give the time you need to indulge your passion for playing the guitar without the usual distractions. You simply relax, learn, practise and jam with other guitar enthusiasts.

We offer weekend breaks plus 4 and 7 night retreats both in the UK and in Europe, in fantastic venues and inspirational locations.

Non playing partners are always welcome and will find plenty to enjoy in the beautiful locations we use while their other halves indulge their favourite pastime.

WHAT HAPPENS ON A RETREAT?

Our retreats are relaxed, informal affairs which incorporate structured activities in a supportive learning environment. They include at least 8 hours of tutor led group teaching sessions over a weekend (much more on week long events), plus extra one-to-one tuition. Throughout the retreat you will be encouraged and coached to bring out the best in your guitar playing.

You will also have the opportunity to jam with the other players and to spend some quality time ‘alone’ with your guitar!

TUITION

Our retreats feature expert tutors teaching different styles. We run events for both acoustic and electric players and all playing standards are welcome from beginners up. We run courses in specific styles including Blues, Americana, Folk, Fingerstyle, Country and Rock ‘n’ Roll.

WHAT IS THE SKILL LEVEL?

This is the type of question we get asked the most and the simple answer is that enthusiasm is much more important than ability on our retreats. We don’t discriminate on the basis of skill; we only ask that you join in to the best of your ability. Our experienced tutors will help you to gain confidence in your playing whatever your current level of ability.
