During June and July we will be running three intensive day long guitar workshops each with a dedicated theme.

“Essential Skills Guitar” is aimed at beginners and all players who want to refresh and improve their knowledge of the fundamental techniques of guitar playing.

“Fingerstyle/Accompianment Guitar” will give students the tools to play more intricate and interesting solo pieces and also teach the art of accompanying others.

“The Acoustic Blues Guitar Workshop” is a must for those wishing to create the authentic sound of early Blues and beyond.

The workshops provide an affordable alternative to a Weekend Retreat and a good way to experience a taste of what you can expect on our weekends. These one-day events are very popular and have limited places, so please book early to avoid disappointment. You can even combine the day workshop with a nights stay at the Edgcumbe for a mini-retreat of your own!

We are always amazed at how far people will travel to come on one of our guitar weekends, we have had guests from France, Belgium and Norway, but this time I was astonished! We have a new record holder, Hina, who came all the way from Tahiti! I have pictures to prove it, Hina is the one playing the Ukulele of course! Our thanks to Hina and all the other guests for making it such a memorable retreat.
